MigraineTracker — Privacy Policy

MigraineTracker is a personal migraine-tracking app shared privately with family and friends. This policy explains what the app collects and how that information is handled. It reflects the current version of the app; it will be updated (and you will be told) if future versions add features that change how data is used.

What the app accesses

• Apple Health data (read only): sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature. The app only reads this data — it never writes to or changes anything in the Health app.
• Information you enter: the migraine attacks you log (time, severity, symptoms, notes) and your daily check-ins (stress, water, and other simple ratings).

Where your data is stored

All of your data — both the Health data the app reads and the entries you make — is stored only on your own iPhone. In the current version, none of it is uploaded to any server, sent to us, or shared with any third party. It stays on your device.

What the app does NOT do

• It does not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
• It does not use your data for advertising or marketing.
• It contains no third-party tracking, analytics, or ad SDKs.
• It does not make medical claims and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, predict, or treat migraines — it only helps you record and view your own information.

Deleting your data

Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app removes your MigraineTracker data from your phone. The Apple Health data itself belongs to Apple Health and is not affected by deleting this app.

Future changes

Planned future versions may add optional features such as matching local weather (using your approximate, city-level location) and optionally backing up or pooling data to help study migraine patterns. If and when those features ship, this policy will be updated to describe them clearly, and you will be asked before any of your data leaves your device.
